DAVID FUHRER

David, owner/operator of Cellar Gang Or Die Consulting, got his start on SweetWater Brewing Company’s packaging line in 2014.

He later moved on to Second Self Brewing Company in Atlanta, GA where he was instrumental in their early growth and establishing their barrel program from scratch, growing it to about 40 barrels.

Before starting Cellar Gang or Die, David worked at Resident Culture Brewing Company in Charlotte NC as their Cellar and Barrel-Cellar manager.

He oversaw all cellar and packaging operations, including a barrel program with approximately 85 bourbon barrels of imperial stout and 100 wine barrels of mixed culture and spontaneous beer, as well as a stainless steel mixed culture solera program.

During his time there, he helped lead Resident Culture Brewing Company through a 90% increase in annual barrelage over two years and his barrel program won Resident Culture Double Gold (Best in Class, Best in Show) at FOBAB in 2021 for his Golden Sour, Sympathetic.

David is a proud tradesman, blue-collar scientist, yeasty boi, and certified cellar gangster.

Outside of work, his life consists of hanging out with his wife and dog. His hobbies include biking, hiking/backpacking, fly fishing, skiing, and music.
